Why can't I view full text message on Spotlight search?

So I understand that with Spotlight Search you can search just about anything from your iphone. I have Spotlight enabled and all the search catergories are checked. However, when I want to search a text from a while ago the text message does appear but only displaying first 4-6 characters. Now what if i want to see rest of mms? Am I allowed to? If i try to click on MMS it takes me to the most rescent MMS of that person's text conversations, and not to the one I had clicked on. Am I doing something wrong or is this how it is supposed to work thanks.
