Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
You've already seen my question. The Open window does show Date Modified, but nothing I've tried will allow me to change it or to add Date Created as a column.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On my system I have a column with the title "Date Added". That's close enough to "Date Created" for me. Click on the column tab to sort by that column.

Right-Click on any column head and check off the columns you want included.
There are also many other arrangement options, just like in the Finder. The options discussed in this article also apply to Open and Save dialogs.
