Getting recently unsupervised iPads to sync to other accounts

I recently unsupervised some instructor iPods that they wished to be able to change and install software on. They were prepped using configurator and some free apps were installed using configurator. The iPods keep coming up with a prompt for the Apple Configurator ID to update apps and install new ones. What do I need to change in order to get them to be able to sync to other Apple IDs?
