Q: My device is offline is there still a way to locate it?

Does anyone know what I can do if the phone is off?

You can only locate it with Find My iPhone if the phone is turned on, has a connection to the internet and still has Find My iPhone turned on in settings.  If it's off, all you can do is physically look for it or wait until it's online again (if ever).

Then it can't be located with Find My iPhone.  Without being turned on and connected to the internet iCloud has no way to find it.

It is turned on in settings and its also one of three iphones on an acct, its my daughters iphone and she turned it off while in school and we dont know if we should look there or if it was lost on the bus or wherever.  I wondered if because of us having three iphones and because i can sign into her device even though its off if there was a way gor me to find it even though its offline, we also had set up find my friends but when i use my iphone to sign in under her it gives my current location of my device

Unfortunately, if the phone doesn't have power, no one can sign into it and it's location can't be detected by iCloud or anything else until it's turned on again (if ever).  It's just like a rock sitting somewhere.  All you can do is physically look for it.
