My MacPro OS 10.6.8 cannot connect to my wireless HP Officejet 6500APlus printer. It sees internet modem. Hp went thru all it's procedures, including new uploaded Driver. Utilitie tool found no issues. Now what?

I just switched internet provider and ran into this: My MacPro OS 10.6.8, recognizes the modem, as does my HP Officejet 6500A Plus wireless printer, but the computer doesn't "see" the printer. HP tried all its procedures, Mac Utility Disk repair was used without resolving the blind spot. Can you help? Now what?

If you just changed Routers, it is quite possible the Printer is holding onto its old IP Address, which is no longer in the smae subnet and not visible from the rest of your equipment.

You need to know what the IP Address of the printer is. Some HP printers will show you on a front panel, some can print it on a test page.

Hi,

What is your new router model?

That may happen due to lack of Bonjour support by your router or you may need to enable essential protocols within the router config.
