I have a BT Homehub 3 hub which is connected by ethernet cable to a BT Infinity modem. The Infinity modem has a second ethernet port and I wonder if anyone knows if I can create an Apple wireless network (to work in parallel with the Bt network) by connecting an Airport Extreme directly to the modem using this second ethernet outlet? Thanks

Thank you. I asked BT the question and they said No! They suggested I use one of the enthernet ports on the back of the Home hub. But this of course would still leave the homehub 'in circuit'.
Have you had experience of comnnecting straight to the Infinity modem?

No, but I've had the same from Virgin Media "No, use our Superhub, it's better" and it works fine with the Virgin Media modem.
