is it ok to update my ipad 3rd gen to IOS 6? i have read on some post that wifi connection will be an issue after the upgrade, is this true?

no there should not be an issue upgrading the device
mine is on 6.0 right now just havent had time to update to 6.02
You will lose Google Maps and YouTube. There are apps to get around that, but from what I read, those apps are quite inferior to the ones that came installed with iOS 5.
google maps and you tube are on the market now FYI
From what I have read, that Google Maps app is not "integrated" with other iPad functions, as is the originally installed program.
correct // i have seen (not really looked into) there is (or may be) a way to get siri to point at google maps but im not sure it it is liget or not as i dont mind typing the address in anyway.
