Cant download a 1.3GB app with 2.8GB of free space?!

Cant download a 1.3GB app with 2.8GB of free space?!

Basicaly i tried to download the app with 0.8GB spare then i realised it was 1.3GB so i decided to clear at some old stuff and before i knew it i had 2.8GB spare, it didnt download so i tried restarting the phone and syncing to my laptop however it wont download the app still!

The message i get is

Cannot Download
There is not enough available local storage to download your app. You can manage your local device storage in settings.

Then i click settings and it says i have 2.8GB free?! 😕

iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1

Apps generally require a minimum of twice their installed space be free, in order to install. Plus, you need enough free space for the iOS to function. Thus, you won't be able to install that app until you free up more space...most likely another 2GB's or so. You'll get the space back once the app is installed, but you need to start deleting stuff if you want to install this app.
