I have 2 accounts set up, both have POP3/IMAP and SMTP servers set up.
All was well until today.
Now I cannot send mail from either account, the "send" box is greyed out?
I am on iOS6.0.1
I'm getting more and more frustrated with apple. I can't sync any longer. My phone isn't recognised by my laptop any longer. *** is going on?!

Are you connected to WiFi? Celluar? Bluetooth? Are you having any other problems with connectivity?
I am connected to WiFi and I've tried to tuen it off and connect via 3G. Neither works. I can connect ot the web and I recieve e-mails...
Are you using a self-hosted account? If not, check your email provider's status page (if they have one). It could be an issue on their end. More than likely it is your provider's issue, and it should be corrected soon.
One account is google (and they are NEVER down) and the other is my personal account. I can send mail from my laptop so it's an iPhone issue not a server issue.
Ok, good to know. Please delete the account from your iPhone, and then re-add it. None of your data should be removed, unless you setup something really odd (which is unlikely, of course).
Now the plot thickens.
I have deleted and set up my gmail account.
The "send" functino is still greyed out and I cannot send mails.
But, if i try and sent a picture (via e-mail) it opens a mail and I type the address and send?
What IS going on?!

I reset my phone and all's well that ends well. I can now also sync wirelessly, which disappeared as well before...!
