I have tried saving Excel and Word '08 documents as text files with data separated by commas. Each record is separated by a carriage return. Why won't Addressbook import the text file?

Thanks Klaus1 for your help. I spent about three or four hours diddling with various combinations and found that if I separated the parts of the records with semicolons rather than commas, it would import.
Yes, it's annoying that some use one and some the other, but at least you got it done! 🙂
Addressbook will not import a text file using CSV.
