I bought a Mac Mini today with Mac OS X 10.7.5 Server. I want to get a free upgrade to Mac OS X 10.8. I tried to do it, but the scanned checks can not be fixed, because he is in the format JPEG. What do I do?

I am also having similar trouble. I have mac OS X 10.7.5 and can't update to Mountain Lion 10.8. When i try to do so, only 10.8.2 is available. i try to download that and it says i need 10.8. I check under softwar update, and my computer tells me i am up to date at 10.7.5
it's driving me crazy. any thoughts anyone?
