My iMac doesn't give off a sound when powered on?
I had my iMac serviced and they replaced the logic board, now I noticed when powering on, it doesn't give of a sound as before. What could be wrong?
iMac, iPhone 3GS

The chime tells you everything is OK. But not getting the chime doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. Check System Preferences>Sound. Make sure Mute in Output isn't checked. Are you getting normal sound otherwise?
Yes, I made sure mute is unchecked. Audio is fine. It's just there is no startup sound. Still figuring out what happened
ZAP the PRAM (hold down Command, option and the letters P and R on startup, Keep them down until the computer restarts itself at least twice after the first restart) you shoud hear a bong on the restarts. if not, It is possible the speaker connectors were not reattached when the logic board was replaced, I would returne it to the repair shop and have it checked.
