someone please help;;my daughter was playing with her ipod touch,now i cant get on it when i turn it on it is stuck on ios6 i tried everything please help

when i try to get on itunes it says cannot connect because you need to enter password from ipod first.....problem is i cant get past that ios 6 thing to enter password
