How do you move Outlook contacts on iPhone to Address Book

My wife has old Outlook contacts on her iPhone (4) from when she was employed at a place that used Exchange. She no longer works there but the contacts are on her iPhone and obviously can no longer access them via desktop to download them to Excel as a CSV file to then import to Addres Book. She now has a MacBook Pro (Late 2011) and would like to move the 1500+ old Outlook contacts on her phone to Address Book on the Mac so she can utilize all the functionality of Mail and iCloud. Does anyone have any suggestions how we can move contacts on the iPhone to her Mac. Any information is much appreciated.

Thanks!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
