I have an iPhone 4s and cannot send photos. The camera icon next to the text box is grey and I can't press it. Help?

Go to Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging and turn it "On".

It doesn't have an MMS option
It sounds like your iPhone is restricted then (Settings > General > Restrictions). It may be the camera that's restricted.

I never heard of an iPhone without an MMS option. Might you have purchased a demo iPhone? Maybe you should take this up with the business / person that sold you the phone.
Pretty sure its not a demo, but I'll take it to the shop that sold it to me and ask, thanks. Cheers for the advice

I went hunting for this issue and found a LONG discussion but here was the essence. The MMS issue may be a a compatible carrier issue.

Apple should do something more than just sell the phone for $700 and lie to me that EVERYTHING will work. Come reall??!
Apple never said "everything will work" with T-Mobile or any other non-official carrier - just the opposite in fact. Learn to research before you buy.
BTW, the "codes" that T-Moble gave you never applied to iPhones as they know nothing about it.
What's really amazing is that someone would spend $749 on a phone and then get cheap and use it on a carrier that isn't fully compatible.
