how to change teh default application??? like for eg., chrome is my default web browser. any click in a hyperlink takes me to chrome... i want to modify this into safari.... how to do that???

In the case of your web browser, just open Safari and in the menu at the top choose
Safari > Preferences...
Choose the 'General' tab on the left of the row, then under 'Default Web Browser' change to the browser you want from the menu.
