Quickooks company data recovery
I erased my h/drive without first backing up my quickbooks. Is there a way to back up, or get company data off time machine (might it have done an auto backup?)

Stop using the machine immediately, this is important.
Check TM for a backup (if TM is running you should have one), if none is available you are going to need the services of a data recovery program.
Remember, you have a duty in law to preserve your Company Financial Data, the IRS will take a very dim view of it not being available.
Stop using the machine untill this is dealt with.
