MacBook Pro (Not Charging) but Green Light Still On

Hi my 2010 Macbook Pro had a problem today where the battery wasn't available and there was a loud fan, so I did the SMC, and now it is showing up as (Not Charging) but the green light is still on. If I remove the charger, the whole laptop shuts off.

I cannot say with 100% certainty. I do not know the model number of your MBP and the description says that it is for A1280 laptops. My sources do not show any MBP with that exact Model Number. 13" MBPs for the most part are listed as Model Number A1278. I use Mactraker which is a good source, but it does have a couple of known errors.

I would contact the vendor for confirmation.

Ciao.
