Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

So....when is Oracle gonna fix this!? I cant access company websites needed for daily biz....

I was directed to update Java w 7.10...It seemed to download and install but when I ret'd to the website it redirected me back to the update page....endless loop.


What can be done about this and haas Apple disabled java in the meantime?


Why is Apple silent on this? How about telling the community here what/when/this is gonna be rsolved!?

You installed an outdated version of the Oracle Java 7 plugin, which is insecure and has been blocked by Apple. You have two options to recover a working Java plugin.


1. Update to the current version (7u11 or later) of the Oracle plugin:

2. Revert to the Java 6 plugin distributed by Apple:

All versions of Java should be considered untrustworthy. Enable Java in your web browser only when absolutely necessary, and disable it as soon as you're done with whatever task requires it. Using Java for non-essential purposes, such as playing games on a website, is inadvisable.
