My iPod Touch is frozen after restarting

I restarted my iPod after it was failing to install an app, and it's been frozen on the apple logo for 20 minutes. About 15 minutes in it flashed to almost all white, then went black, then went to the apple logo again. I've tried restarting it, plugging it into iTunes, and charging it. Currently it is plugged into my charger next to me.

Usually, my iPod only takes a minute or two to reboot after restarting. What can I do to stop it being frozen?

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.0.1

See Here...

Frozen or unresponsive iPod touch

Try this First... Nothing will be Lost...

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

Release the Buttons...

If that does not work... try letting the battery fully drain.

Then Charge for an Hour and try the Reset again.
