Spotlight/Illustrator shortcut conflict

Illustrator uses the shortcut "Command Spacebar" to bring up its zoom tool. Spotlight apparently uses the same keystroke shortcut to open up its window.

Now that I'm using Tiger, I'm being driven a to distraction when I try to zoom in Illustrator (every day, many times) and instead have the Spotlight window pop up, which I have to then close. Grrrrrrrrrr. It doesn't happen every time, but many many many times.

Any suggestions anyone might have to remedy this would be greatly appreciated.
