I dropped my iphone down two flights of stairs.. the back snapped off the front is shattered the top is destroyed... and it will not function or turn on.. it is still under the limited 1 year warranty. is there any way for it to be fixed/replaced

Like any warranty on most any product, damage is not covered. Warranties cvoer manufacturer defects.
You can ask if they will sell yiou an out of warranty replacement.
Otherwise you would have to buy a new one.
