Print & Scan scx 4100 for OS Mountain Lion

hi there..can someone help in enabling me use the scanner for scx 4100. I downloaded the scx 4200 printer driver, its works fine but when i download the scx 4200 scanner driver, it installs but no icon comes, niether am i am able to add it to the list of printers/ scanners through the option of add printer in system preferences.

i am using the latest i7, mac book pro with mountain lion OS.

hope someone can help ... i really dont want to waste the scanner which is perfectly fine and not that old either...
