import dvd LogicPro

I want to practise scoring to film, so I tried to import a dvd into LogicPro.

The files (such as .bup, .vob) were greyed out, so I tried the QuickLook option -in the hope that I could access at least a few minutes of film to practise with.

It said: "While LogicPro recognises this type of file, it cannot open it as a project."

Have I just encountered your typical 'right protection' in action here?

My plans do not involve commercial use, nor general public posting it anywhere like Youtube or the internet.

I would like to get round this issue if possible, just for my own private use.
