How to a create stacked column chart with totals?

Hi folks,

I am quite new to iWork. I am wondering if it is possible to create a stacked column chart with totals showing on top as a figure. In Excel I can do it with a trick creating a second chart within the first. I know in Numbers I can create a mixed chart and it shows me the totals. BUT unfortunately I do not know how to do it stacked it always ends up as usual bars and columns and second I cannot see a way to hide the actual bar, because I only want the figure. To understand what I mean I made a screenshot.

Sorry for the strange layout with the translation box. Dunno where this came from.

How Can I get rid of this?

I think the best way to do that is two charts overlaid on each other. Shown below is the start of it. The first chart is the stacked bar chart of your data. The second is a bar chart of the totals. In the second chart, I have already selected the bars and set their fill color to None in the Graphic Inspector, removed the Y axis and X axis labels, removed the legend, turned on Value Labels, made the value labels be on top, and changed the font color of the value labels to black. For both charts I chose the same Y axis Min and Max and number of steps. Next I would remove all the other visible parts of Chart 2. leaving only the value labels. And last I would slide Chart 2 overtop Chart 1.

You can make other changes to get what you want, such as adding text to the totals. You do that with a custom format (in the Chart Inspector, Series tab)

Thanks a lot. Not really what I was hoping for, but still better than writing the totals as text boxes above, in case something changes.
