iTunes Match sign up

Trying to subscribe to iTunes Match. However, when it asks for payment, it will not allow access to credits in the iTunes Store. Can this be done or do I need to enter a completely separate payment method?

Since iTunes Match is a subscription service you also need to have a valid credit/debit card on file as a payment method.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply. The iTunes Match sign up process will not allow access to my credits in my iTunes Store account. It will accept a NEW iTunes gift card during sign up. I think the easiest thing for me to do, is get another gift card. Thanks.

Read the link that I posted. You must have a valid credit/debit card on file on your account as well.

I am familiar with the link and process. Thx. When signing up, you have the option for a gift card for payment. However, you must have a credit card on file but it then takes payment from your ID account, NOT the credit card on file. A bizarre procedure which should be explained better. Thanks again.
