I am trying to sync iCal to MobileMe but when I sign in to mobileme in preferences the password does not work with this window popping up below, any help would be appreciated?

I can log into icloud account with no problem with my password, does not make sense to me.....grrrrr

    Mobile Me is closed, that's why you can not login to it. It closed in June 2012

    Preferences does not have iCloud though, only MobileMe, does that mean I cannot sync iCal on my mac as it is sync'd to my iphone and works no problem?

     

    I have tried changing email address to @icloud.com (as this works sending and receiving emails) but makes not difference.

     

    In iCal the option to sync is greyed out, but gives an option to sign into MobileMe. It also says to turn on synchronization in MobileMe preferences although there is no option to do this?

    You need to upgrade Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion (10.7 and 10.8) you are using 10.6 which is not compatible with iCloud.

     

    Go to the Mac App Store and buy Mountain Lion. Backup your iMac before you install.
