Can't download TV show to itunes?

I just bought a season pass to a series through my Apple TV. Whenever I want to watch an episode I have to wait 20-30 min for it to download. I would like to download them all to iTunes, so I can stream at my leisure but it doesn't show in my "purchased" on my iTunes. There is a cloud emblem on the Apple TV menu so I figure it is on iCloud ... But how can I download in a batch so I don't have to wait (I paid for HD, I want to watch in HD ... So going SD isn't my answer)?
