How do I turn on an iPhone 4S with broken power button?

I have an iPhone 4S just out of warranty with an unresponsive power button. Apple has already screwed me over and said they can't fix it unless I totally replace it for $200. I've accepted the fact and I've been living with assistivetouch to lock the phone for a while. But, does anybody know how to turn on the phone if it was powered off all the way (with the red slider)? I know that plugging it in will automatically turn it on, but is there another way if there isn't a charger?

Long story short, how can you turn on a completely powered off iPhone 4S with an unresponsive sleep/wake button? Or even better, does anybody know how to fix it?
