how do i choose what apps start upon start up when i first turn my laptop on?
i keep having my finder app start as soon as i turn my macbook pro on........ can anyone help me to direct me how to choose which programs start up on startup? thanks in advance! Sam

If you want to configure login items then open Users & Groups preferences in System Preferences. Click on the Login Items tab in the upper right. Either drag applications into the list or use the Add [-] button.
Finder is going to have to start at each bootup. It's how you interact with Mac OS X.
Follow Keppy's instructions above if you have other programs that you want to load at start up.
