Q: I bought a new MBP 15" Retina.

Jan 14, 2013 4:24 PMby léonie,HelpfulDo you still have your old mac? If you can launch Aperture on your old mac, you can see the serial number in the "About" panel. Lauch Aperture on the old mac and use the "Aperture > About Aperture" entry in the main menu bar. The panel will show the serial number.
If that is no longer possible, you will have to contact Apple for a replacement serial number. YOu will be required to provide a proof of purchase, see the following link:

Jan 14, 2013 8:29 PMby Brian Reimer,I have other software that's of equal or greater cost and all I need do is email them or in one case the window for the serial number has a button to automatically look up and insert the number.
I'm pretty sure I registered Aperture with my email address, name & etc. I expect I can find the box before I can find the invoice. I bought it at the Polo Park Apple Store in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Usually I ask to have the invoice emailed to me.
No I think I bought it at an independent Apple Reseller in Winnipeg. I'm pretty sure I started with Aperture 2.
