Q: I cannot upload a microsoft work or text edit document it either says "problem" or "format not supported" im dragging into the iwork on icloud.com but it never works. wierd thing is its in my "icloud" section in text edit but the dragging never works help

please help

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

     

    I don't have any problems adding word or excel documents to the Pages and Numbers iCloud area, but the thing is there is a conversion that takes place in these iWork areas, it may be that your word document has something in it that causes a problem for the conversion process, I don't believe text edit documents are accepted at all.

     

    The difference with the iCloud area in text edit is that it's just a simple upload area so it will take any documents.

    how to you upload work docs? everytime i try it says there is a problem. do you know what i can be doing wrong? and on another note, how can i view the documents on my phone if i dont have iwork?

    You might try opening the document in Pages and try loading that to iCloud.

     

    If you don't have iWork on your phone you can't open the documents on your phone and if you don't have iWork on any mobile device you can't use iCloud.com to upload documents.
