No, Pondini didn't help. I have the most basic of questons. On one of my iMacs, I can enter and make use of Time Machine by clicking on the TM logo on the upper menu bar and then clicking on "Enter Time Machine". But on my other iMac. nothing happens when I click on "Enter Time Machine." On that iMac, Time Machine is backing up every hour; it tells me so, but it won't let me in, not even when I try to enter it from the dock or from Applications. What is going on????

Here are 2 repeating messages from console, each coming up twice at the time I tried to enter TM:

Does this help?

Signing out should be sufficient: don't try to remove the actul preference pane (never tamper with things which are part of the System).

If you are still having problems, go to (user)/Library/Preferences/ByHost and remove all .plist files beginning with com.apple.DotMac or com.apple.idisk (depending on what your System is there may not be a ByHost folder, so just in the Preferences folder). Then reboot.
