How to make your number private on iPhone

i want my iphone 4s to be private number.which means when i call to another number it shall display private number on the other phone.how may i do that?

Settings>Phone>Show My Caller ID>Off...your carrier must support this setting for it to appear.

I got this advise from my network provider. Recently i called the customer care and the representative said this. And this is not a ********. 😊
