I Pod Touch

I have a problem with my Daughter Ipod Touch, it got disabled as too many incorrect passcodes have been entered.

I undertstand I have to "restore factory settings" but it will not appear on my itunes.

It keeps coming up that I need to enter the code.

Reading on hear about pulling the plug keeping your finger on the home button (that is the one on the front???) for ten seconds to get it in the right mode does not work.

I have installed itunes on another computer, but it still knows what the ipod is called, and won't do anything different.

How can I get into the ipod to get the settings back????

Thank you, that very helpfull.

I have done all the things suggested.

When it comes back on the "apple" comes up almost straight away, and then after the 10 seconds it pings in Itunes saying that needs to enter a passcode, there is no way it will come back on in recovery or DFU?????

I don't know what to do now!

Thank you though

Try a couple more times. It can be tricky to get the iPod in recovery mode or DFU mode. It sounds like you are only resetting the iPod, not geting it into one of the modes.

When the iPod is in recovery mode and you connect it to your computer iTunes will say it found am iPod in recovery mode.
