slide to power off

slide to power off

My iPad 2 keeps flicking to the slide to power off screen. I hit cancel and seconds later it flips to the same screen.

iPad 2, iOS 6.0.1

Perform a Reset...

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Thanks for the response. Tried all that with no joy. Just tried a restore as new ipad and the problem seems to have been resolved. thanks again.

power button seems ok but a restore as a new ipad seems to have fixed it.
