iPad won't automatically connect to my home wifi router.....

When "joining a network" I understood that once "joined" the iPad would automatically select and join in future. Mine will not! Having jopined my home wifi router with password etc, it "forgets" and I have to go through the process of inputting the password etc every time I turn on the thing.

What's goiong wrong here?

First thing to check is on your router. Does it broadcast the SSID? If not, you will need to change this setting as the iPad needs to see the SSID in order to connect.

What router are you using? Have you updated the firmware?

Do other devices connect ok? I had an issue for a while where it took ages to connect. I had to reboot the router to get it to work.

Are there other routers in range on the same channel?

What security setting are you using, WPA2?

Are you using a unique SSID?
