remove purchased book?

This link gave the answer, it was already too late to remove the posting.

How do I remove an iBook from the "Purchased" window of the iBooks store? I have already deleted it from the "Library" but it still shows up as a purchased book.

I was mistaken in hoping this would work. The procedure described in the above link does not show a "Hide" button. Nothing happens when swiping on the item in the "Purchased" view. Swiping in the Collection view uncovers the "Delete" button which does nothing more than removing the contents from the iPad but leaves the entry in the list intact.

Therefore the question still stands: how to Remove/Hide a purchased book from my iPad?

Also I tried the procedure given through the above link to hide purchases in iTunes. It tells me to hover the cursor over the item I want to hide. Well, I can hover as long as I like, but nothing happens.
