updated Itunes--now receive message that sync session with ipad failed to start message when try to sync

Updated Itunes on macbook pro and ios on Ipad---when tried to sync following updates received

message The (name of Ipad) could not be synced because the session failed to start.

Unplugged USB and also changed USB port.

Time Capsule-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
