how do i stop getting my text message on my mac

Open the Messages application and select Preferences from the Messages menu in the menubar. Select Accounts. You should see your iCloud account in the top section of the right window pane and below it the email addresses and phone numbers that are associated with that account. If you want to be able to use Messages as a chat program just click off your phone number. If you don't want to use Messages at all, click off the account.
