AppleCare or Square Trade?

I just got a new iPhone 5. I am thinking about getting a protection plan since I heard that the screen can crack or the buttons stop working when you least expect it.

I was wondering if there is any advantage in getting Square Trade over AppleCare? Is one better than the other?

Thanks for some of the suggestions. AppleCare always seems like the defacto coverage to get. I have read general good things about Square Trade but the content was more about features of the program and ratings. I am still looking for customer's acutal expriences. So far, I only seen a few that had negative experiences when they actual had to use Square Trade. Not very encourage considering that got A+rating by BBB.

Then, you haven't looked far enough! There are gobs of reports by satisfied customers with Square Trade. I'm one of them. Had a sticky button on my iPhone 4. Square Trade repaired my device in a very fast turn around-- even the mailing box they sent (postage paid by ST) had an Apple feel to it-- well-cushioned, spartan, recycled looking cardboard. The customer service reps were knowledgeable and the repair was done quickly-- and most important, well!

The IP4 felt like a new device!

It's substantially cheaper than AC+ or for a longer period of time. There are even no deductible coverages on the iPad that include accident coverage-- that Apple doesn't provide!

And, no, I don't work for them, just a happy customer!
