Phone constanly says no service , if i go to an apple store will they switch it out ?

My boyfriend has an iphone 4 from AT&T and his phone constanly says no service , do I need to contact an AT&T store or can I go to an apple store and have it fixed ?

AT&T does not provide service for the iPhone. Take it to an Apple Store. Make an appointment at the genius bar before you go. They tend to be busy.
