Q: What can I use to convert "any video format" to DVD

This might be a basic question for most of you here but, I am looking for an application that would allow me to convert video files of different formats to DVD (a DVD that I could use in any video player? There is a ton of applications to rip a DVD but I want to do the reverse, such as convert an MP4 (or other file formats) to a regular DVD that I could play in any DVD player. Do you have any suggestion to make? Thank you for your help.

If you just want a basic DVD that only supports a single track, but which is easy and produces high quality, I'd recommend Compressor @ $49. It will accept a wide range of input file formats. Also take a look at Roxio Toast.

Assuming it's not protected? Aside from iMovie, which is a fine solution, Toast should be able to do this. Burn is a freeware alternative. I use WonderShare DVD creator - Works well and is very easy to use.
