having trouble finding my id numbers so i can get wifi coverage on my ipad2
iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 6.0.1
The IMEI is shown in Settings > General > About.
not on my ipad ive looked and it isn't there it shows my serial number but not what need to get coverage from cell companies
Did you purchase the Wi-Fi only iPad, or Wi-Fi + Cellular? You cannot get cellular on a Wi-Fi only model.

Since you didn't say which of the above models you have, I will answer for both. If you have a Wi-Fi only iPad, you need a different iPad. If you have the Wi-Fi + Cellular, no, you don't need a different iPad.
But since he doesn't see the IMEI he doesn't have a WiFi + Cellular model so he does need different iPad or a WiFi Hotspot device like a Verizon MiFi.
