Thanx for trying to help. I found the iPod/Podcast pane and again it erased all my podcasts on my iPod. I wanted to transfer the latest podcast of a series and was confronted with a window with 2 columns, one listing the podcasts in my iTunes collection. Clicking on a catagory of podcasts (ie 'Skeptoid') the left column showed all the 'Skeptoid' podcasts in my iTunes collection in the right column with a little box next to each.
Note: If I didn't click on Sync at the top all the options were grayed out.
So I check the box next to the one podcast I want to download and click Apply. iTunes automatically erases ALL my podcasts except that one. I can only resotre them by clicking EVERY box next to the titles of the individual podcasts. Skeptoid podcsasts are short and there are more than 200 of them! Replaceing all of them takes half and hour. All my other podcasts have been erased too, so who knows when I'll find the time to put them back.
There must be a way to select multiple podcasts without automatically syncing ALL the podcasts in my iTunes collection which are too many for my iPod to hold. Apple used to be famous for their simple, intuitive interfaces; no more, what's going on?
By the way: the podcast pane I get is completely different from the one you posted in your reply.
