Dropbox folder in Public folder

I have deleted my dropbox account, but on my Macbook in a folder called Public, there appear a folder called dropbox. when i delete it it still appears next time i start my Mac. Why?? Can you help me. Maybe delete a link on my former account

The folder "Drop Box" inside the folder "Public" has nothing to do with the "Dropbox" service, despite the name similarity. The "Drop Box" folder is provided by Apple for other users on your computer or your local network (if there are any) can pass files to you securely. (They can drop files into the folder but not look into the folder, kind of like an old-fashioned suggestion box or a postal collection box.)
