Ical is not syncing with iPhone?

Can anyone help in fixing a sync failure between Ical on my iphone and Imac? Data entered into the calender on both products is failing to appear on the respective calenders. Using Lion 10.5 ansd until yesdterday the calenders were all syncing fine.
