Jan 16, 2013 9:06 AM in response to KiltedTimby rhafromtx,It just shuts down even when the battery isn't showing low. This is the 3rd time it's happened in a week and a half. Had to do a hard reset and restore it last Saturday, but this meant I had to reinstall everything like a new phone. Once it's in this state, it will not charge on a home charger or any kind of charger for any length of time...just dead.

Jan 16, 2013 9:27 AM in response to rhafromtxby Rudegar,if you restored it and it was like a new phone then you didn't restore it to a backup but to factory settings
if you have restored it to a backup it would make the phone as it was when the backup was taken
iphones take a backup everytime one sync with itunes

Jan 16, 2013 10:08 AM in response to Rudegarby rhafromtx,Yeh, that's what Apple had me do over phone. Didn't realize when rep instructed me to hold down home & power button at same time for a period of time, that this was restoring it. Guess they had to do that since phone wouldn't come on at all!
