Is there a way to return to the "Are you sure you want to close this window?" prompt when I close Safari with multiple tabs open?
It used to work this way on Snow Leopard but no longer does on Montain Lion (Safari version 6.0.2).

I don't think there is a way to get this warning, except maybe via
In the meantime, I trust you are aware of "Reopen Last Closed Window" in the History menu, which will try to undo an inadvertent closing of a window full of tabs.
