How do you make a photo album into an event?
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion, iPhoto issues
You can go from an event to an album. But, I don't think it works the other way.

Thanks, Jeff. Somehow with a new iPhoto upgrade, I lost about 20 events, but was able to reconstruct them into albums. At our local Apple store I was told I could make them into new events, but I agree with you, and don't seem to be able to do it. If I figure out how to do it, I'll let you know!
The iPhoto gurus hang out in the iPhoto forum. You might try asking this question over there.

If you select the album then select photos in the album it will then let you create an event:
Thanks, Jeff--I am getting the message that my initial event will be lost (photos cannot be in more than one event). I guess my bigger question is where did the original event go? I can't find it anywere.
I wonder if possibly during your iPhoto update if some how events got merged. If that is the case the events can be split out into new events.
Here is an example of splitting an event:
No, they are not there within (other) events, but do show up within all my photos (15,000+) which is how I found them to make into albums. I appreciate your help!
I may be getting a bit closer. If you right click on a photo you can see which event it is in
It may be that you have 1 big event
I think you have something here--the event says they are "from MobileMe". With the latest upgrade of iPhoto, we could no longer share photos via Mobile Me Gallery; these may be all the ones I did share that way (even though I had specific events for these in my photo library as well). Now to just break down this giant event into the 20 "missing" ones. Thanks!
